As a child, I have always grown up around animals. My first friend in life was a beautiful Dark Brindle Boxer named Digs. Digs was kind yet stingy with who he showed his affection towards. He was my mothers first puppy after she got out of college. Continuing on, I have now lived with a total of 8 dogs in my lifetime so far. From day one, I have always had a very soft spot towards dogs. I would volunteer at Petco in my childhood and help with adoptions and would walk the dogs when they needed to be walked. Now at the ripe age of 19, I knew I wanted to become a dog mom to my own spectacular baby. I wanted to be able to call something my own and be able to have a life partner that will experience growing with me.
My mother has two Cavapoo's. Cavapoo's are mixed between Cavalier King Charles Spaniel's and Poodles. I really enjoyed the temperament of the breed and wanted to do more research to find the perfect breed right for me.
I decided to open my computer and start researching different small breeds that would fit my lifestyle. Since I have been home all semester from University because of Covid, I had lots of time on my hands to really think about if a puppy would be the right thing for my life. After recently evaluating my mental health, My family and I decided it would be healthy for me to expand my responsibilities and help me keep motivated. Fashion is one on my passions but I knew that if I would get a puppy (he/she) would be fashionable as well!
A website called Greenfieldpuppies.com had a beautiful picture posted. of a 2 month old male Blenheim Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Puppy and I knew I had to check it out. Upon opening the ad, I instantly fell in love with the puppies floppy, soft ears and cute little button nose. I will insert the picture that was posted below:

The baby boy's name was Timber! I knew I had to have him. We called the breeder who told us he was available and ready for pickup whenever we chose to come. The next morning, December 1st, I decided that I would go by myself and drive the four hour each way journey to pickup my new baby boy. Upon arriving at the breeder's house, He was washed and fed and I was given a bag of Beneful puppy food and his paperwork for certification and medical records. He had a slight umbilical hernia but was told by doctors it is not severe. I picked him up in my little 2006 Dodge Charger and went on my merry way through the city to get back home! He was super quiet on the car ride home, which was to be expected. When we got home, his personality began to show exponentially.
Now it is the new year and he has blossomed into the most outgoing and wonderful little man! I named him Windsor Vuitton or Winnie for short. He has brought so much joy to my life.
Two days after bringing him home, I decided to make an Instagram for him to track his progress and see the difference between the months of his growth. He now has over 1,000 followers and it grows each and every day with new furry friend followers. I am so grateful for every single brand and account that offers to work with Windsor!

Being a new dog mom is definitely a change. I had to start waking up in the middle of the night to let him out and also make sure he gets enough naps during the day to help him sleep better through the night! He has free roam of the house but is primarily kept in my downstairs room with all his toys and treats. I also came to realize how kind and brave he is towards other dogs. No matter what size the dog is, Winnie wants to be friends. I feed him about three times a day and include his favorite treats from Bocce's Bakery called "Say Moo".
So far in our life together, we take on the park, the beach and different stores and will soon get his certification to become an emotional support animal to help deal with my social anxiety.
I always knew I would become a dog mama and I wish I made the choice sooner.
